On the 28th of January 2025, the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Hon. George Opare Addo paid a working visit to the National Service Authority to familiarize himself with its leadership and operations. As the Minister with oversight responsibility, this was his first engagement with the Authority after being sworn into office by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
He was warmly received by Acting Director General Felix Gyamfi, Acting Deputy Director General, Ruth Dela Seddoh and the members of management of the Authority. He reaffirmed the President’s commitment to youth development and assured them of great partnership to build and transform the Authority.
Key initiatives he shared include:
– Mechanizing NSA Farms to address food insecurity and create jobs.
– Edwumawura and 1 Million Coders Programme to empower youth with digital skills.
– Improving Conditions of Service for NSA staff and service personnel.
– Eliminating Ghost Names to ensure payroll integrity and timely allowances.
I assured the staff they are in capable hands, and together, we’ll overcome challenges and make the National Service Authority a world-class institution serving Ghana’s youth.
